Job Title: Activity Director Reports to: Administrator Wage Range: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and education Job Description The Activity Director plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs resident-centered activities within the facility. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, maintaining professional standards, and facilitating communication among staff, residents, families, and external agencies. The role involves participating in community planning, facility surveys, quality improvement initiatives, discharge planning, and developing activity schedules that promote resident engagement and well-being. The Activity Director also supervises activity staff, encourages resident participation in activities, and ensures proper documentation of services provided. Additional duties include arranging transportation for residents, providing accessible materials, and supporting residents' hobbies and interests. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; one year experience in a long-term care facility preferred. Activity Director certification required. Skills and Abilities Ability to read and comprehend policies and procedures. Effective communication skills. Mathematical proficiency in fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions. Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills. Physical Demands and Work Environment Requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
