Job Description

Responsibilities of this direct hire Compliance Analyst position include:

  • Create and implement policies and procedures that promote compliance across the revenue cycle.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant coding and documentation practices across internal departments and external partners.
  • Track and evaluate key performance indicators to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Lead audit processes, manage vendor relationships, and drive corrective action initiatives.
  • Support accurate HCC coding and related reporting functions.
  • Partner with IT to streamline workflows and introduce automation that enhances efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage coding-related claim denials and issues tied to medical necessity.
  • Provide expertise with coding, charge capture, and documentation standards.
  • Deliver training and educational sessions to clinical and administrative staff on compliance and documentation best practices.

Minimum requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to uphold compliance with revenue cycle regulations and industry standards.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in medical coding and billing, including CPT-4, HCPCS, and HCC methodologies.
  • Proficiency with various EHR and billing platforms; experience with NextGen PM is highly desirable.
  • Preferred certifications include RHIT, RHIA, CRC, CCS, or CPC.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a proven ability to interpret and act on performance data.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments and with external partners.
