JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Receiving
DEPARTMENT: Warehouse
REPORTS TO: Depot Supervisor
Position Summary: This position is responsible for performing checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.
Essential Functions :
Receive deliveries by unloading trucks with forklift.
Verifies items received by inspecting condition of items, correct quantities, number or cartons to purchase order and packing list.
Report damages or shortages to the appropriate person.
Working with teammates to investigate discrepancies as they arise.
Signs for shipment.
Organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas.
Updating inventory with received items.
Label product with correct part numbers.
Responsible for driving a forklift, cherry picker, and stand-up reach truck regularly throughout shift.
Is punctual and consistently available for work.
Work in a safe manner, follow all safety rules, and report any potential safety hazards to management.
Perform other general warehouse duties and responsibilities as required.
Ability to lift/move up to 60lbs using proper lifting skills unassisted.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
2 years recent experience operating
a forklift in a warehouse environment picking or receiving product.
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Ability to prioritize work and multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Good verbal communication skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Possesses basic math skills
